Contest Rules - 41st Canadian Election Election Target Draw

1. Governing Rules

All contests held by Election Target are governed by the Province of Ontario. Contests are open only to residents of Canada, void where prohibited. These rules are understood to be governed in accord with the Province of Ontario and the Terms of Use, and all usersby participating, agree to conform to the rules of the jurisdiction of Ontario.

2. Eligibility & Entries

No purchase necessary. All members of the Election Target community who have registered through a user account and who comply with the rules and regulations laid out in this page are eligible to register and be entered into the contest draw. A user is automatically entered into the draw by making a prediction in one of the districts Election Target has set up to accept predictions related to the 41st Canadian Federal Election before one week prior to the election date1. In compliance with Canadian law, a skill-testing requirement of correctly predicting the local and/or national electoral outcome in each district is required for a contestant to be eligible for one (1) ballot for that district.

3. Conduct of Contest Draw

For each correct prediction a user makes in a district as to the outcome of that election, until seven days before the election of the 41st Canadian Parliament, the user will be eligible to one (1) draw ballot to be used towards the draw for the 41st Canadian Federal Election. Ballots cannot be transferred to other draws that Election Target, or its partners may hold simultaneously or at a future date. Additional ballots for this draw may be awarded as part of promotions Election Target does over the period of the contest. The draw will be held within a month of the election of the 41st Canadian Parliament and will consist of Election Target selecting one (1) winning ballot from the submitted ballots. The winner will be contacted by the email provided by the winning user in their registration form. The winner will have five (5) business days to reply to Election Target in order to make arrangements for receiving the prize. Election Target reserves the right to defer shipping and handling costs to the winner if the cost exceeds twenty (20) Canadian dollars. If the winner defers on accepting the prize or does not contact Election Target within the above allotted time, a subsequent draw will be held until the prize has been awarded.

4. Prize

The prize for this contest is one (1) $100 (CAD) Gift Card for Amazon.ca. Amazon.ca, its parents and affiliates are in no way affiliated with this contest or Election Target.

5. Disqualification

Election Target reserves the right to disqualify any user who is found a)practicing in cheating, b)violating any of the site policies of Election Target. Contest participants agree that no language in this document can be interpreted so as to make any monetary claim from Election Target, its sponsors or partners. No employee or relative of Election Target or its advertising partners is eligible for the draw.

 

1-Federal elections in Canada are determined by Her Excellency, Gov. Gen. Michelle Jean, on the advice of her Prime Minister. Election Target assumes no control or discretion over the date of the next Canadian election, but will apply the cut-off date for prediction submissions once the election date is set.
